Schummer Lab
Our lab focuses on applied wildlife science with an emphasis on ecology and management of North American waterfowl. We meet contemporary conservation issues by producing high-quality hypothesis driven research. In addition to our Doctoral, Master's and Honor's students, we also incorporate research into classroom learning, whereby undergraduate students learn the scientific process by tackling real-world conservation issues. All research and teaching is followed by public outreach. We produce popular articles, present locally to conservation organizations, and provide workshops to bring a diversity of stakeholders to the conservation table.
